MPMA will greatly miss Steve Forsythe, founder of Spec Plating Corporation, who passed away following a battle with cancer on Thursday, April 9, 2009.

Steve was a great contributor to the MPMA, supporting the precision manufacturing industry in a variety of ways over the years. Steve joined the MPMA in 1993, served as President of the Association in 1999-2000, and has been a contributing author to Precision Manufacturing, the MPMA Journal, since 1996.

In addition, Steve served on a variety of committees including Programs, Government Relations, Education Foundation, Workforce Development, Grand View, Insurance, and was the founder of the annual Motorhead Drive-In Show.

Steve received several awards from his peers at the MPMA including the President's Award in 1999, 2001, and 2008, and the American Eagle Award for outstanding legislative support in the precision manufacturing industry in 2003.

Steve will be remembered with love by his family, friends and industry colleagues.
