Invest, Connect, Inspire the Next Generation of Manufacturers

Did you know that February is “I Love to Read Month?” What a great opportunity for you to volunteer at a school in your area and read to young people, planting the seed about the great opportunities in the field of manufacturing.

Sounds like a good idea, but you don’t know what to read? We’ve got you covered. Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association and the MPMA Education Foundation is partnering with MAKE Publishing and Creative Planning to provide, COMPLIMENTARY books to members who want to participate in “I Love to Read” month. These charming books connect kids to the manufacturing world, showing them jobs and processes in a fun, accessible way.

Blake Explores Manufacturing, for younger kids (K-3 grade)

Blake Prepares for Manufacturing, for older kids, (4-7 grade)

Visit the MAKE Publishing Website (Registration button above takes you directly there) go to the Store tab and select one of the Blake Manufacturing books. Once book is in your cart, add discount code.

For the Blake Explores Manufacturing (K to Gr 3) the discount code is:  READ-BEM

For the Blank Prepares for Manufacturing (Grade 4 to 7) the discount code is:  READ-BPM 

You can then ad the mailing address to where you would like it to be sent within Minnesota. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery. Supplies are limited, first come first served basis and discount code expires February 28^th, 2026 or once supplies are gone.
