$100,000 Available From DLI to Fund Career Exploration Programs

As part of its ongoing APEX Apprenticeship Initiative, Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) announces the availability of $100,000 to fund career exploration programs that provide youth a hands-on introduction to careers through registered apprenticeship. There are nearly 200 apprenticeship programs today that provide quality training and rewarding pay to Minnesotans looking to build their future careers.
To be considered for funding, programs must:
- Be a nonprofit, community-based organization: an association, school or a registered apprenticeship program.
- Collaborate with an active apprenticeship program registered by DLI in a programmatically integrated manner.
- Provide a hands-on component related to the industry being explored.
- Serve youth participants ages 16 to 24.
