Seven MPMA members are among 60 companies that will benefit from nearly $2.9 million in state grants to fund employment-based dual training from the Minnesota PIPELINE Program.
- BTD Manufacturing, Lakeville
- Dotson Iron Castings, Mankato
- Jones Metal, Mankato
- K&G Manufacturing, Faribault
- Pequot Tool & Manufacturing, Pequot Lakes
- Ultra Machining Company, Monticello
- Yeager Machine, Norwood Young America
"As part of our strategic plan, MPMA helps our members coordinate training resources for their employees and provide guidance to obtain and implement grant resources," said MPMA President Steve Kalina, "It's great that seven of our members have been awarded PIPELINE grants to help them support training programs and continue to help their employees improve their skills and advance their careers."
The PIPELINE Programs' Dual Training Grants, which were included in Gov. Tim Walz's budget, give dual trainees the opportunity to earn while they learn and help businesses meet their workforce needs. Four industries with in-demand, high-growth occupations are eligible to receive grants: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, health care services and information technology.
