Understanding Communication Styles - Experiential Workshop

with Judy Hartley

The purpose of this workshop is to increase awareness of communication styles and their impact on teamwork effectiveness. Differences in styles and personalities can cause tension among co-workers and breakdowns in team performance. In this workshop you will learn to recognize, appreciate, and adapt to style differences, and capitalize on the strengths of the various styles to maximize team performance. Judy Hartley’s career highlights include working for Honeywell, Hoffman Engineering/Pentair, and General Electric. Judy also served as adjunct faculty for the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management instructing on “Fundamentals of Management.”

Resolving Conflict at Work - Experiential Workshop

with Tammi Dorion

Some amount of conflict within all work teams is inevitable. In fact, some conflict is actually beneficial in creating higher levels of team engagement. Learn the different strategies for dealing with conflict, strategize on when to use each type, and work through the four-step process when resolving a conflict is necessary. Participants will leave with a job aid to help them work through conflicts regardless of where they occur. Tammi Dorion’s passion is fostering personal continuous improvement. She has trained and coached 500+ individuals in Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

Maximizing Team Performance - Experiential Workshop

with Judy Hartley

The purpose of this workshop is to develop your understanding of the critical success factors for effective teams and teamwork. Through a brief hands-on business game and discussion, participants will learn the critical ingredients for fostering teamwork. Several specific team building techniques and tools will be overviewed and participants will take home a team building toolkit to help foster teamwork and improve team effectiveness. Coaching Better Every Day - Experiential Workshop

The focus of this session is to understand what coaching is and why it is so important in the development of employees – especially in relation to enabling them to solve their own problems. Participants will learn different aspects of coaching, practice coaching scenarios, and reflect on how to increase their own coaching abilities. Tammi Dorion’s passion is fostering personal continuous improvement. She has trained and coached 500+ individuals in Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
