Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead the expansion of our equipment repair and process development services into regional markets. This role is crucial in building strong relationships with local clients to promote and sell repair and maintenance services, aligning with our existing Field Services offerings. The successful candidate will leverage our established operational methods across our 10 Machine Solutions divisions to establish a local center of excellence. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in the setup and operation of a new application and testing lab in the Minneapolis area, collaborating closely with clients to sample, trial, and innovate applications using our demo equipment, while fostering deeper customer engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivate and nurture relationships with established local clients to promote and sell repair and maintenance services, complementing our existing Field Services portfolio.
Provide high quality service with quick response times and solutions for customer complaints and support requests.
Utilize specialized knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, performing repairs either remotely or on-site.
Coordinate closely with customers to schedule equipment installation and service visits, including executing Installation Qualification and Operation Qualification protocols, and implementing equipment upgrades.
Actively engage with customers to promote preventative maintenance contracts for Machine Solutions equipment.
Establish a local center of excellence for new product development and testing in the Minneapolis area, collaborating with clients to sample, trial, and innovate applications using our demo equipment.
Host customer visits, providing technical expertise on machines and processes in-house.
Maintain lab equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
Utilize ERP Systems to access equipment historical data and document service records and reports.
Interpret equipment manuals, assembly drawings/prints, schematics, and work orders to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and service.
Employ a variety of hand and power tools, multimeters, and test measurement equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas both at Machine Solutions sites and customer facilities.
Undertake ad-hoc projects as required, including supporting customer FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), among others.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school + 5 years field service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Languages:
Candidate is a fluent English speaker.
Ideal candidate has a level of Spanish linguistics.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to complete the above task.
Ability to learn remotely through video demonstrations.
Ability to apply and analyze mathematical graphs, charts and other data.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering blueprints.
Able to solve practical problems in the areas of electrical, mechanical, software and pneumatic devices and mechanisms.
Familiar with PLC and vision coding.
Candidate must have no restriction in obtaining a Passport for international travel.
Candidate must hold a Driving License with the ability to drive in foreign countries.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Most time will be spent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Some time will be spent sitting, using hands to handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. Minimal time will be spent lifting materials and equipment up to 40 lbs. The ability to see and work on the machines at customer sites and in-house is required. Specific vision requirements are:
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Some time is spent working near moving mechanical parts and with risk of electrical shock. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) can be expected.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position requires travel up to 20% outside the Minnesota region, including International Travel.

Training will be provided at Machine Solutions Facilities, co-travelling for onsite customer visits, remotely through video & technical documents.
