Job Description:

CNC Grind Machinist Department: Grind Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Grind Production Manager Last Updated: February 25, 2025 Summary This is a critical role in maintaining production quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment to produce precision parts. CNC machinist will operate both CNC and centerless grinders to process a wide variety of critical parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. • Set up and operate CNC grinding machines (e.g. cylindrical or centerless grinders. • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and fixtures for optimal performance. • Program or modify CNC controls to meet part specifications. • Inspect and measure finished components using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control. • Maintain records of production, machine settings, and inspections. Required Qualifications • 2+ years of experience operating CNC Grinder in a manufacturing environment • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T and machining principles • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment • Cass Precision Machining is a values-based organization.
