About the Position: This role is expected to lead New Product Development projects ensuring project scope, committed lead times and budgets are met. Primary Job Responsibilities: Provide input to quotation process to ensure key cost considerations are reflected. New Product Introduction. Ensure NPI plan meets both customer expectations and DGI business needs. Ensure all requirements and tasks needed are identified. Ensure NPI project remains within quoted established plan. Facilitate internal communication between functions supporting NPI activities. Communicate regularly with customers regarding: technical components, schedule, costs and risks. Facilitate resolution to constraints impacting NPI timeliness and deliverables. Report to management OT and OB metrics and concerns/constraints of projects meeting key deliverables. Manage Customer and DGI change requests which need collaboration and approval. Support Corrective Action opportunities. Manage all project tracking inputs and outputs (costs, schedule, and actions). Provide weekly updates on engineering metrics. Manage BOM creations including: defining RAW materials, components, packaging, secondary operations and any outside service needs. Take on internal process improvement opportunities (Rocks). Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers and suppliers. Adhere to ISO13485 standards for all documents and procedures. Continuously look for ways to improve the customer experience. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing. Preferred Experience Medical device, medical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or closely related industry experience. Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management. OR 7–10 years of progressive experience in the plastic injection molding industry, including at least 1 year of Project Management experience. Required Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferred: SolidWorks or Creo). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or other process improvement techniques. Self-motivated with strong decision-making abilities. Familiarity with good manufacturing practices. Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
