What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quality Assurance Lab Technician, you’ll be the critical link between production and performance. You’ll make sure our aluminum billet products meet customer specs, run lab tests, and help improve processes across the board.
Operate precision lab equipment (spectrometers, optical microscopes, CNC machines)
Prepare and analyze test samples to ensure chemical composition and performance standards are met
Support Production and Metallurgy teams with real-time test results and process data
Keep documentation tight – from test records to ISO compliance tracking (9001, 14001, 45001)
Train others on lab procedures and equipment usage
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab space
Keep safety, traceability, and product quality front and center at all times
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded team player who thrives in a dynamic, industrial setting. Whether you're bringing direct lab experience or a strong willingness to learn, we want someone who takes pride in precision and quality.
Detail-oriented and science-minded – you notice the small things and ask good questions
High School Diploma or GED required;a BS in Engineering or a related technical field is a big plus
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate lab and shop equipment confidently
Comfortable working in a production environment – this is not a desk job
Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
Previous experience with spectrometers, microscopes, or CNC equipment? Gold star.
Bilingual English/Spanish? Double gold star.

Requirements
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
Education & Experience:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: BS in an Engineering Discipline or relevant experience in a quality testing lab
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to operate lab equipment and small machine tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality processes is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery
Comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs and handling heavy equipment and samples
Certifications & Training (Preferred but not required):
Experience with CNC machines, spectrometers, and optical microscopes
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Background & Screening:
Must be able to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screen (safety first!)
