Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive skills-based training program in a manufacturing environment. Emphasis on fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing procedures. This role will work closely with Quality for the development and implementation of training to support quality inspectors and testing technicians. Additionally, Training Manager is responsible for identifying skill gaps, developing targeted training initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring employees acquire the competencies needed to excel in their roles, meet quality goals, and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Management
Design and implement skills-based training programs aligned with operational goals.
Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and skill gaps.
Develop curriculum, training materials, and learning paths for various roles.
Training Delivery
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions.
Coordinate with internal trainers and external vendors as needed.
Ensure training is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to diverse learning styles.
Evaluation & Improvement
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs and feedback.
Continuously improve programs based on performance data and learner input.
Maintain records of training activities and outcomes.
Technology & Tools
Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital tools to manage training content and track progress.
Stay current with trends in adult learning, instructional design, and workforce development.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead a team of trainers or instructional designers (if applicable).
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Partner with HR and Talent Development teams to align training with career pathways.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in training and development, with a focus on skills-based programs.
Working knowledge of fabrication, assembly processes, inspection, and testing processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Preferred Skills:
Strong organizational skills and hands-on approach.
