Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities: Set up and operate machine edit programs for CNC Swiss Machines, Citizen & Tsugami Maintain a clean and safe work area. Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blue prints for parts being run (including geometric tolerance). This includes understanding of dimensions and tolerances of finished parts. Follow set-up procedures as well as recommend improvements. Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals. Skills/Abilities/Competencies: Ability to set up new parts following blue print instructions. Optimize machine to ensure daily goals and production is met. Understand how to read, edit G & M Codes. Understand tooling requirements to set-up and operate machines in the department, including select and align tooling, fixtures and attachments for machining. Touch off tools and make offsets. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently with little (if any) guidance from lead to avoid downtime of machines. Ability to perform a sequence of operations without supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Up to date related experience working in a Machine Shop. Able to read and interpret blueprints and utilize GD&T proficiently.
