Job Description:

The Machine Operator’s main responsibility is running production jobs on turning machines and performing in-process inspection of the parts being manufactured. Daily machine and work area upkeep is also necessary. This role fosters a results-driven culture that aligns with Micro-Fab/Cass’ core values and is a critical member of the production team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. *Operate turning machines with demonstrated experience in turning operations *Basic machine and bar feeder operation (startup, part counter reset, machine stoppage, etc.) *Perform in-process inspection of turned parts (may include using gage pins, various micrometers, comparator, or optical/vision system) and record results as required *Basic print reading to ensure the turning machine is set up properly before running *Maintain work area;ensure cleanliness and organization of tools, inspection equipment, and parts *Basic maintenance of turning machines such as cleanliness, fluid levels *Notify manager of low inventory on tooling *Help Programmers or Machinists with setup of turning machines *Help with offset changes during production *Follow all quality and safety procedures Required Qualifications *Micro-Fab, a Cass Precision Machining company, is a values-based organization.
