Benefits: • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Disability Insurance • Vision Insurance • Paid Time Off • 401k with company match Job Summary: As a CNC Operator with setup capabilities, you will be responsible for safely operating CNC machining equipment to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. This position spends approximately 90% of the time running production and 10% performing basic machine setup activities such as loading programs, changing tooling, and verifying first-piece quality. The role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Workload may vary daily, and the ideal candidate is flexible and willing to assist with other machining or production-related tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce parts that meet print specifications and quality standards • Perform basic CNC machine setup activities, including loading programs, installing tooling, setting tool offsets, and verifying part dimensions • Load, run, and monitor CNC programs on HAAS equipment in accordance with setup sheets and work instructions • Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges • Monitor machine operation during production runs and make minor adjustments as required to maintain quality • Accurately document production counts, scrap, downtime, and job information in computer systems • Safely load and unload raw material and finished parts, using material handling equipment as required • Identify and report quality issues, tooling wear, machine malfunctions, or process concerns to supervision • Perform routine machine care, including cleaning, lubricating, and basic preventative maintenance • Follow all safety policies and procedures related to CNC equipment, tooling, and material handling • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times • Maintain awareness of pinch points, sharp tools, rotating equipment, and other machining hazards • Follow lockout/tagout procedures when performing maintenance, cleaning, or clearing jams • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping standards • Support other machining, production, or shop tasks when CNC workload is light • Participate in safety training, continuous improvement efforts, and team meetings • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, quality, and engineering personnel Requirements: • Previous CNC machining experience preferred;operator-level setup experience strongly desired • Experience operating HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes preferred • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, basic GD&T, and work instructions • Familiarity with common measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts • Comfortable using a computer for job tracking and production data entry • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and compliance with safety procedures • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as production needs change • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand and move throughout the shift • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and parts using proper techniques with appropriate assistance or equipment • Ability to safely handle sharp metal parts and cutting tools • Ability to perform repetitive motions in an industrial manufacturing environment • Ability to work around moving machinery, rotating equipment, and production noise Compliance Disclaimer: This position requires access to technical data subject to U.S. export control regulations under ITAR and EAR.
