Job Description:

Precise Products Corporation, an Employee-owned Precision Machining company has an open job opportunity in our CNC Turning Department. We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Lathe Setup & Programmer with extensive knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol conversational programming. This role is critical to our machining operations and requires someone who can work independently program, set up, troubleshoot and optimize complex turning jobs in a production environment. Key responsibilities: - Set up and run Mazak CNC lathes, including multi-axis and live tooling machines. Programming using Mazatrol is a plus. - Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions. - Select tooling, cutting parameters, and fixturing to ensure optimal cycle times and part quality. - Perform first article inspections and make necessary program or setup adjustments. - Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programming issues efficiently. - Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to improve processes. - Mentor or assist less experienced machinists as needed. Required Qualifications: - 3-5+ years of hands on CNC lathe setup and running experience. - Experience with tight tolerances and precision machined parts. - Solid understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and materials. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
