Job Description:
CNC LATHE MACHINIST - AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setup and operating CNC machinery and possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision parts and components while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will be working in a clean, temperature control shop with newer machines with the latest features and technologies.
Duties
• Set up and operation of CNC multifunction turn twin spindle and twin or triple turret lathes (programming a plus) (mostly Nakamura).
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
• Operate Nakamura/Fanuc controls
• Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
• Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
• Experience in Aerospace shop and a wide variety of gauges a plus.
Qualifications
• Proficient in basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred for programming purposes.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles is essential for quality assurance.
• Previous experience operating lathes and other CNC machinery is required.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• 10 years minimum experience required.
