Role Description
Join the next revolution in manufacturing productivity. Are you great at explaining how advanced technology or software can solve everyday business problems—in language people understand in manufacturing industry? Are you motivated to help manufacturers get a step change in productivity by adopting analytics? This is a full-time role for the position of a Sales Manager. You will be responsible for taking sales leads generated by Marketing and identifying new business opportunities all the way to closing sales. You will also work closely with our Hopkins team to deliver presentations and software demonstrations to clients, attend trade shows and conferences, build relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals. For early career, but hungry applicants, it will be great learning experience to manage the complete sales cycle.
Opportunity to grow into a sales leadership role in a couple of years.
Compensation will include a competitive base, commission per sale, as well as bonus for exceeding targets.
Qualifications / Requirements
Strong negotiation and closings skills, with the ability to close on deals.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Software, Manufacturing or related field (waived for 10 year+ sales experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales in the manufacturing industry.
Proven track record in coordinating and facilitating software demonstrations and presentations.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel within your assigned geographic area (beginning with the Upper Midwest).
Strong negotiation and closings skills, with the ability to close on deals.
Additional Skills
Ability to create and implement business sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets.
Experience building and maintaining strong business relationships with all levels of client organizations
Previous experience in software sales, preferably in ERP, MES, Manufacturing or Industry 4.0 field, is a plus.
Experience in Hubspot, Sales Navigator, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Automation tools is desired but not required.
