Job Description:

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance Assist with corrective maintenance and repairs of the equipment Troubleshoot and determine causes of failures that occur in the equipment including electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics and electrical schematics for troubleshooting purposes May wire, perform electrical installations and disconnections and connect machine tools and other machinery May set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts and/or machines Apply Lock Out / Tag Out procedures while performing maintenance to equipment when required Initiate purchase orders and maintain adequate inventory levels of repairs parts Assist with schedule, facilitate and manage any maintenance or repair that C-Axis contracts to outside vendors Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques;monitoring compliance Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Communicate with external suppliers, vendors and equipment manufacturers to obtain information as needed Assisting with implementing, maintaining and monitoring the preventative maintenance program Maintain a safe and clean work area Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
