Ready for a new and exciting career? Twin City Staffing is hiring a skilled manual machinist for a growing machine shop in Blaine. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with manual lathe experience who enjoys precision work, repairs, and steady hours in a stable shop environment. Location: Blaine, MN Hours: Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Alternative 7:00 am – 3:30 pm schedule available Monday – Thursday) Pay: $30 - $36/hr., depending on qualifications Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Benefits of the manual machinist: Health and dental insurance with full benefits package Paid holidays and vacation time 401K with company match Stable shop with long-term customers Friendly team environment Room for advancement Duties of the manual machinist: Repair steel or aluminum cores using manual lathes Review blueprints and job orders to determine tooling and cutting instructions Calculate machine speed, feed ratios, and the size/position of cuts Mount, install, align, and secure tooling using hand tools and precision equipment Monitor machines for proper functionality and adjust as needed Measure parts accurately with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools Maintain a strict focus on quality output and precision Requirements of the manual machinist: 3+ years of machinist experience (with at least 2-3 years specific to manual lathes) Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in blueprint reading Expert experience with precision measuring tools and machine setups Welding skills are a significant plus High mechanical aptitude and sharp attention to detail Steel-toed boots or shoes are required Ability to work in a repair-focused manufacturing environment (eye and ear protection provided) Additional information: Apply today!
