Job Description:

Are you a master of multi-axis CNC setups? We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Setup Person to lead operations on our high-precision twin-spindle, live-tooling turn/mill workcenters. If you thrive on complex setups, tight tolerances, and optimizing multi-tasking machines, we want you on our team. What You’ll Do • Advanced Machine Setup: Perform complex, independent setups on multi-axis CNC turn/mill centers featuring twin spindles, live tooling, and Y-axis capabilities. • Tooling & Workholding: Select, assemble, and set up specialized live and static tooling, synchronized sub-spindle workholdings, and part-unloading systems. • Program Verification: Review, prove out, and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the machine to ensure flawless execution and prevent machine crashes. • First-Article Inspection: Conduct initial part inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, GD&T) to verify blueprint compliance. • Process Optimization: Fine-tune speeds, feeds, and cycle times to maximize efficiency and tool life. What We’re Looking For • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated experience setting up multi-tasking CNC turn/mill or Swiss-style machines. • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting complex GD&T symbols, and editing G-code. • Precision: Proactive mindset with a proven track record of holding tight tolerances (e.g., ±0.0005"). • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues, multi-tasking sync-codes, and tooling interference challenges independently.
