In this role, you will mount custom fixtures, perform milling and boring operations, read blueprints, and inspect finished parts. Hours: 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday (Overtime available on Saturdays) Benefits of the CNC operator: Direct-hire placement in a unionized facility Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) and company-paid holidays Stable 1st shift schedule with weekly pay Duties of the CNC operator: Mount fixtures, align components, set machine travel, and run manual test cycles to verify tooling and speeds Execute boring, milling, recessing, profiling, and contouring operations following blueprints and job cards Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments and log job data on official records Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and report any tooling or equipment discrepancies to shift leads Requirements of the CNC operator: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machinery in a metal shop Proficiency reading blueprints, job sheets, and precision measurement tools (AutoCAD experience preferred) CNC programming experience Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
