Title: Experienced Quality Inspector Department: Quality / Inspection Supervisor: Quality Manager Position Type: Hourly | Full-Time Compensation: $27–$36/hour, depending on experience plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible hires who commit to at least one year of employment with Klesk Metal Stamping Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM;overtime may be available or required based on business needs Klesk Metal Stamping Company manufactures parts from a wide range of materials for customers in industries that include aerospace, computer, construction, dental, electronics, government, military, medical, recreation, and telecommunications. Job Purpose: The Experienced Quality Inspector supports Klesk’s quality system by inspecting parts, materials, and production processes to ensure conformance to customer requirements, internal standards, drawings, specifications, and applicable quality procedures. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role requiring strong inspection discipline, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities without sacrificing accuracy, documentation, or quality standards. This role performs in-process and final inspections, uses precision measuring equipment, interprets blueprints and GD&T requirements, documents inspection results, identifies nonconforming product, and works with Production, Quality, Engineering, Toolroom, and other teams to support safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, ownership, follow-through, and the ability to help strengthen quality execution across the organization. Key Position Responsibilities: Perform in-process, first-piece, final, and other required inspections Inspect metal stamped parts, materials, and related components for conformance to drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, pin gauges, fixtures, and vision systems Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements Document inspection results accurately and maintain required quality records Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming product or quality concerns Recognize when work should be stopped, contained, or escalated due to quality, safety, documentation, or customer requirement concerns Make sound decisions within assigned authority and seek clarification when requirements are unclear Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Toolroom to help identify and resolve quality issues Support containment, sorting, reinspection, and disposition activities as directed Assist with root-cause investigation and corrective action follow-up as needed Manage changing priorities and multiple inspection requests while maintaining accuracy, documentation, and inspection discipline Follow assigned work through completion and communicate delays, constraints, or unresolved concerns promptly Maintain proper use, care, and handling of inspection tools and equipment Support calibration awareness and notify Quality leadership of equipment concerns Assist with training or coaching less-experienced inspectors or operators on inspection practices as appropriate Receive technical feedback professionally and make corrections when required Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, work instructions, and customer-specific expectations Support continuous improvement, inspection process discipline, and quality system effectiveness Perform other duties as assigned to support Quality and Manufacturing Operations Required Skills: 4+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, or a related quality role Strong ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances Working knowledge of GD&T Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to identify defects, quality concerns, and nonconforming product Ability to document inspection results clearly and accurately Ability to work effectively as a hands-on individual contributor without requiring continual direction Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and documentation discipline Sound judgment to identify when issues require containment, escalation, or clarification Professional response to feedback, corrections, and changing quality or production needs Strong follow-through and communication when work is delayed, incomplete, or blocked Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or related systems Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality Preferred Qualifications: Experience inspecting metal stamped parts or precision manufactured components Advanced GD&T and blueprint reading capability Experience with vision systems, optical comparators, CMM, or other advanced inspection equipment Experience working in an ISO, aerospace, medical, or other regulated manufacturing environment Experience supporting first article inspection, PPAP, corrective action, or customer quality requirements Experience training or mentoring junior inspectors or production employees Familiarity with ERP systems, inspection documentation systems, or electronic quality records Experience working with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift Ability to visually inspect small or detailed parts, with or without corrective lenses Ability to use precision measuring tools for extended periods Ability to safely handle metal parts and work in a manufacturing environment Ability to perform repetitive inspection, documentation, and material-handling tasks Growth Opportunities: Successful Quality Inspectors may have opportunities to grow into advanced inspection, quality technician, quality systems, quality engineering support, working lead, or other manufacturing and quality roles over time based on performance, capability, business needs, and interest.
