Title: Pressroom Operator Department: Pressroom Supervisor: Pressroom Manager Position Type: Hourly | Full-Time Pay Rate: $17-$18/hour Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Klesk Metal Stamping Company manufactures parts from a wide range of materials to customers in industries that include aerospace, computer, construction, dental, electronics, government, military, medical, recreation, and telecommunications. Successful Pressroom Operators may have opportunities to grow into setup, working lead, toolroom, quality, maintenance, or other manufacturing roles over time based on performance, capability, business needs, and interest. Job Purpose: The Pressroom Operator supports daily production by operating punch press equipment, producing quality parts, following work instructions, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. This is a hands-on manufacturing role requiring attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Position Responsibilities: Operate punch press equipment and support production needs Produce metal parts according to specifications, work instructions, and quality standards Perform part inspections to ensure accuracy, consistency, and conformance to requirements Assist with material handling, press setup support, and changeovers as directed Wash, oil, or package parts as needed Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and work instructions Identify and escalate quality, tooling, material, or equipment issues to the Pressroom Manager or lead Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Support production flow, teamwork, and continuous improvement efforts Perform other duties as assigned to support Pressroom and company needs Required Skills: Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on manufacturing Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn, take direction, and support changing production priorities Preferred Qualifications: Prior manufacturing, pressroom, machine operation, or shop experience Familiarity with basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges Exposure to punch press, metal stamping, machining, assembly, or related production environments Basic understanding of quality inspection and production documentation Growth Opportunities: Successful Pressroom Operators may have opportunities to grow into setup, working lead, toolroom, quality, maintenance, or other manufacturing roles over time based on performance, capability, business needs, and interest.
