About the Opportunity
Midwest CAM Solutions is growing, and we're looking for someone to help us develop new business and build relationships with manufacturers throughout the Midwest.
This is a sales position for someone who enjoys meeting people, discovering opportunities, and helping customers find the right solutions. We're looking for someone who is personable, organized, motivated, and dependable, with strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with others.
Previous sales or manufacturing experience is a plus, but we're equally interested in the personality, work ethic, and transferable skills you would bring to our team.
You'll represent GibbsCAM software and our growing portfolio of manufacturing technologies, working alongside an experienced team that will provide the product knowledge and technical support you need.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop new business opportunities and build relationships with prospective customers.
Follow up on leads from marketing, events, referrals, existing databases, and your own prospecting efforts.
Learn about customers' needs, challenges, and goals to identify potential solutions.
Manage sales opportunities from initial conversations through quoting, follow-up, and closing.
Maintain an organized pipeline and accurate customer information in HubSpot.
Coordinate demonstrations and technical conversations with our applications team.
Prepare quotes, proposals, and professional customer communications.
Work collaboratively with our team and follow established sales processes.
Occasionally attend customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
Who We're Looking For
We believe the right personality and work ethic are just as important as experience.
We're looking for someone who is:
Personable and outgoing: Enjoys meeting new people and building relationships.
Organized and detail-oriented: Can manage multiple opportunities, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accurate records.
Dependable: Follows through on commitments and communicates consistently.
Self-motivated: Takes initiative, works independently, and is driven to achieve goals.
A strong communicator: Listens well, asks thoughtful questions, and communicates professionally.
Comfortable with technology: Has strong computer and typing skills and can work efficiently with digital tools.
A team player: Brings a positive attitude, is willing to learn, and respects established processes.
What Would Make You Stand Out?
These aren't requirements, but we'd love to hear from candidates with experience in:
Sales, business development, account management, or territory growth.
Manufacturing, CNC machining, industrial products, or manufacturing technology.
CAD/CAM software, particularly GibbsCAM.
CRM systems such as HubSpot.
AI tools or AI agents for research, productivity, automation, or business applications.
Building industry relationships or managing opportunities through the full sales cycle.
A college degree is not required. We'll provide training on our products, technologies, and internal systems.
What You Can Expect From Us
We're a small, experienced team that believes in supporting one another and giving people the resources they need to succeed.
You'll have:
A head start: Access to existing prospects and open opportunities while developing your own pipeline, particularly during your first six months.
Training and support: Guidance from our Sales & Account Manager and experienced technical team.
Clear expectations: Established processes and sales goals, with the independence to manage your daily responsibilities.
A voice on the team: We appreciate experience, thoughtful ideas, and proven strategies that can help us continue improving.
Room to grow: Opportunities to expand your knowledge and responsibilities as our business evolves.
We take our customers and our work seriously, but we also believe work should be enjoyable. We're a collaborative team where everyone contributes, helps when needed, and takes pride in what we accomplish together.
